Transport Options
Driving yourself to or from the airport
Most routes to the airport have signs carrying the recognisable aeroplane symbol. The symbol will point which way to turn at each intersection. Follow these symbols as they
show the most direct route to the airport.
The symbols will bring you to both the Domestic and International terminals. As you get closer - they will be highlighted as Domestic or International only.
Remember to keep a street directory on hand if you're driving for the first time
All major Sydney radio stations conduct traffic reports at least every 15 minutes during peak hour (mornings 6am to 9am and afternoons 4pm to 7pm). They will advise you
of traffic problems and tell you the streets to avoid.
Driving around the Airport
If you are using your own vehicle to drop off passengers, special short-stay areas have been created at both the International and Domestic terminals. See (Ansett and Qantas)
departures Level for this purpose. Two minute parking is provided, with easy access into our public carparks for longer stays.
